Bowser & Mario are locked in their struggles. Bowser—in a fabulous white suit— has captured Princess Peach aboard his airship in an attempt at forced marriage, and our red plumber is ready to stop Bowser at any cost. However, this time, Bowser has the upper hand (or upper hat in this case).
As Bowser blindsides Mario with his hat, Mario falls off the ship into the unknown, and his trademark cap? Shredded in one of the ships propeller blades. And the scraps of the hat are caught by a very curious onlooker.
Mario’s POV
Mario SLAMS into the ground with massive force and soon passes out. But little did he know, someone was with him.
“Hey… are you okay?” An unfamiliar voice asked
Mario jolts awake and jumps up to see a spectral top hat with large, expressive eyes with reddish-magenta irises, blue wisps of hair on top and a ghost-like, eerie-like body underneath.
The strange top hat seems to get scared and blots away from Mario.
“Hey, get back here!” Mario shouts while chasing the top hat.
While he’s chasing the top hat, he takes in his surroundings. He’s running on grayish-black grass, their are top hat like things everywhere, and all the citizens are top hats too!
“W-who are you?” One asks Mario while he’s still chasing the white top hat
“Names Mario, plumber from Brooklyn, New York.” Mario replies as he continues chasing the top hat.
Another citizen asks “You’re not one of them are you?”
Mario stops and tilts his head “Who’s ‘them’?”
“The Broodals, Bowsers henchman.” The citizen replies in a shaky voice
“Oh no, no, no.” Mario shakes his head furiously “I hate Bowser’s guts!”
Another citizen yells from nearby, “Someone save us from this monster!!!😭”
Mario looks over at that citizen, then at the citizen he was talking to. “Ok, I gotta go. See ya.”
He runs off and then remembers the top hat. He looks all over the place until he sees it behind the town gate.
The top hat hesitates to come out at first, then slowly floats over to Mario, faint tears of fear prick at its eyes.
This is where the adventure begins
