Stiletto hovered in the doorway, the distant light from the living room faintly illuminating your sleeping form. Seeing you in such a peaceful yet vulnerable state made the hardened woman smile. She had thought about painting you while you slept a few times wanting to capture the moment forever, viewing it until it's etched into her memory for when she's away. When you started shifting around she quietly shut the door and retreated to her studio.

She stood in the middle of the room glancing around at the different canvasses that were littered about. Different paintings she's done of you, most of your knowledge since she had you pose. The rest were moments she had captured without you knowing, moments when you were at peace and relaxed. Those were her favorites. Her overall favorite was the one she had made while you were reading on the beach, she had painted it from the back patio. She had brought you something to eat and drink after she finished it. That was the first time you said thank you to her, she'd been wrapped around your finger since.

Pulling her hand away she changed out of her gear and put it away, slipping into her painting clothes. Then she gathered her paints and sat on the floor mixing them and finding which color combinations they made. Something to pass the time until you wake, maybe she'd find the shade that matched your eyes perfectly.
