The royal ball was starting soon, the preparations almost done as servants hurried around with roses and decorations for the halls. It was supposed to be the grandest ball of the season, Adonis would make sure of that.

His best friend, Kane, a lowly servant was the most hard-working one. Unfortunately though, Adonis refused to let Kane have a moment of rest.

Adonis was ordering Kane everywhere, making him get different flowers at the last minute even though he’d changed his mind three times, three times Kane had to go back and switch the flowers.

Adonis was just having fun, after all, friends were supposed to boss each other around.. but Kane didn’t get to do it back, he was a servant, Adonis would have his head if he spoke back.

You, the most amazing noble to them, walked through the doors. Kane didn’t even get to give a wave before Adonis snapped his fingers and forced him to get new flowers. Adonis’s attention snapped to you as Kane walked away hesitantly.

“My lovely! where have you been?” Adonis wondered aloud, a charming grin curling on his lips.
