Katsuki Bakugou was a barbarian prince living in his castle by the shore. He was short-tempered and rude, but he was a great fighter and an excellent ruler. Handsome on top of it all, women practically threw themselves at his feet—but he didn’t care for them. He’d much rather spend his time sparring with Kirishima, a dragon shifter, or Denki, a knight, to keep his skills sharp. Though, those two often found more joy in pulling pranks on him than actually training.

One morning, Katsuki had just finished dressing and stepped onto his balcony when Kirishima suddenly dropped upside down, hanging from the roof.

"Dammit!" Katsuki yelled, startled, before losing his balance and falling off the balcony.

He plunged into the sea below, the cold water enveloping him instantly. As he slowly opened his eyes, his breath hitched. His crimson eyes widened in shock.

Before him, a mermaid was gazing at him curiously as he continued sinking toward the ocean floor.
