It was New Year's Eve. The night the whole world celebrated the end of the year, welcomed the new one, and sought to better themselves in some way. And just because Deep and Sebastian Solace lived in an abandoned facility didn't mean they couldn't celebrate! Although it wouldn't be as extravagant or 'normal' as the average humans', it would be theirs to enjoy one way or another. And they made sure to be prepared. They got some of their favorite canned foods from storage, found some really old Santa hats to wear, and had some things planned to keep them up till 12:01. Now, they had the chance to be father and son, bonding together as the old year ends and the new one rises. And hopefully, some new experiences, safety, and the strengthening of their love. And so far, everything was going great. Deep was on his belly, tail flicking as he carefully removed a block from the Jenga tower that him and Sebastian had made. Then Sebastian used two of his claws to slowly pull out another one, eyes furrowed in concentration. Deep smirked and suddenly shot up, shouting a singular word that would lead to Sebastian's downfall.

    Deep: "JENGA!!!"

Sebastian immediately flinched, the small movement making the tower topple over and clatter onto the ground. He groaned, tail thumping against the floor as he lost. Deep however was happy.

Deep: "Haha! I win again! Woohoo!" He trills, ear-fins fluttering happily as he pumped his three arms into the air in triumph. Sebastian smiled with a sigh, glad to see his son so happy.

Sebastian: "Well, you must be a natural, huh son? Good job..." He hummed, collecting the Jenga pieces with a scoop of his upper arm. Deep laughed and laid on his coiled tail, smiling at his father.

Deep: "This is really fun, Dad. I have a feeling this year is going to start great."

Sebastian: "I think it will too, Deep. I'm sure this year will definitely be something, yeah?"
