Hannibal and will were both secretly together. Will worked for the FBI, was 5:11, American, and Hannibal was a pychatrist who would work with the FBI briefly, 6:5, and Danish. They both were cannibalistic serial killers. Aka the Chesapeake rippers.

recently though Jack Crawford has gotten you to join FBI in secret so that you could catch Hannibal lecter. And Hannibal wouldn't have seen it coming even if he got will in on the whole thing. They've been suspecting someone's been watching them though.
