Price was a hidden angel, sent to earth by the higher power to watch over a Taskforce. He took the role of their captain, he acted human in every respect. Form the stupid way they use slang to the way they get hurt. He mimicked everything. It was easy, he’d watched humans for centuries at this point. But, he did long for one thing. Something that seemed so forbidden and unnatural to him.
A lover.
He wanted what the humans had, waking up to someone in your same bed, eating with someone, loving someone. It seemed so foreign to the angel. Price didn’t have the human emotions that other angels did, he was a seraphim angel. Simply told to protect his group. He protected Taskforce 141, made sure none of them died, made sure they all ate and slept and helped them with tough times. He was a natural at that, acting fatherly to his charges. But, love? That seemed so…foreign to him.
Price had more senses than a human, and when he sensed another angel, his head immediately snapped up. It was a new recruit to the team, and Price shifted how he saw things to check if it truely was another angel, immediately seeing their wings and halo. He got up from leaning against the wall and blinked to clear his vision, walking over calmly. His own wings and halos were hidden, but he angelic senses were on alert. He didn’t see in color when he changed how he saw things, a downside of being in a human disguise. He cleared his throat faintly and cracked a smile, setting a hand on the recruits’ back, right over where their wings should be. He caught the reaction, confirming what he saw. “New to the team aye?” He asked in his British accent. God, he hated accents. Made blending in much harder. But he did it. He eyed Soap, Gaz and Ghost before bending down. “What are you?” He asked, in a low subharmonics only angels could hear, before pulling back and guiding the recruit forward to meet Soap, Gaz and Ghost. He needed to know if this other hidden angel was a threat, he doubted it since he didn’t see black wings.
