The lunch bell rang, and Ajax watched as the rest of his classmates hurried out of the room to join their friends down at the cafeteria. When the crowd of people disappeared, he saw you standing there and looking at him with a blank expression. He knew you had noticed he was the only one not going to follow the crowd, and was left alone in the classroom.

"Aren't you going to go down to the cafeteria, too?" Ajax asked, his tone flat, annoyed you weren't leaving him in peace.
