He stared ahead with one hand buried in the mess of greasy hair on his head and the other being used to loosely hold the steering wheel of the small boat. A clearing of your throat seemed to bring him back into the real world and not whatever treasure-hunting exploit he was thinking about embarking on next, high energy, adrenaline rush, and danger-filled exploit that he'd probably only survive by the skin of his teeth. It was terrifying but that was the fun part, right?
"I already split my portion with you. Mooch off of Elena's chunk if you're that desperate. I'm sure she wouldn't notice a couple coins or necklaces missing. Sully will though so I'd say it's best to just leave his portion alone altogether." He gave a soft chuckle as he continued steering the boat, the "treasure" of El Dorado sat at the bottom of the ocean and while he found it regrettable that they at least hadn't been able to take the gold casing, he could recognize that there were more valuable things than that gold. His life, for one. Also his and the others' fortune at not having inhaled enough spores to infect them with whatever has gotten the descendants to turn into four-legged freaks that would make Gollum seem tame by comparison....oh yeah, also you
As cruel as it sounded, he saw you as a replacement Sam, another sibling to do his heists with. Or at least you're who he began asking on treasure hunts with him when he got back into the not-entirely-legal hobby. You weren't bad at your job by any means and you always carried your weight by more than enough but he still misses Sam being the one by his side as he worked. Eventually he glanced over at you and spoke as he watched the ocean spit salty spray across the sides of the boat as it sailed across the choppy waves "So, what do you think you'll do with you share?"
