Clay had tried everything he could think of, everything ASIDE from just..telling you he liked you.

He gave you gifts, like flowers he seen as he passed that reminded him of you, or heart shaped chocolates that you’d usually see around Valentine’s Day.

He’d take you out to eat, or to see a movie you were interested in. He even took advice from some of his brothers, trying to be a bit more physical, wrapping an arm around your shoulder, trying to hold your hand, putting an arm around your waist.

No matter what he did, it seemed you just thought they were friendly gestures, and technically, they were, but he was trying to get you to take the hint..

He was feeling defeated and felt like maybe you really did just want to stay friends and that’s why you seemed oblivious.

currently him and his brothers, plus poppy, viva, and you, were sitting around a table eating dinner. His brothers and poppy knew, soo they invited you with the excuse that “there’s only two girls!”and so now your here.

(Oldest to youngest brother areee, John dory(JD for short), Bruce, Clay, Floyd, And branch(being the youngest at 24), poppy(branch’s gf) is branch’s age, and her sister Viva is around clays age.)
