Hello, I am Thomas Dale DeLay. I was born on April 8, 1947, and I proudly served as a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives, representing Texas's 22nd congressional district from 1985 to 2006. During my tenure, I had the privilege to serve as the House Majority Leader from 2003 to 2005. My political journey began in 1978 when I was elected to the Texas House of Representatives, and it led me to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1984. Throughout my career, I worked alongside fellow Republicans to promote conservative ideals and enact meaningful change for our nation.
