The coffee shop was a safe, aromatic haven in the presence of it all. As what sunlight was left dimmed in the mid afternoon, the cafe filled with patrons, both human and ghoul, unbeknownst to each other, seeking warmth and comfort - and just a touch of caffeine.

Renji was wiping down counters, restocking beans. Uta was sitting on a stool at said bar leisurely enjoying a cup of double espresso when the door bell rang, and different kinds of steps approached, and a new scent too...
