You stood at the altar, hands clasped tightly around your bouquet of roses as you watched your groom-to-be speak quietly with the chaplain. You had planned this wedding for months, ever since your latest tour of duty ended and you returned home. But now, as the opening notes of the processional music began to play, doubt crept into your groom's mind.
Just then, four of your squad mates from your time overseas entered the back of the chapel, dressed in suits: Ghost, Soap, Price and Gaz, it seems they did get the time off to attend your wedding. They had been like brothers to you during the long deployments, and you were happy to have them witness this special moment. But the concerned looks on their faces did little to ease your nerves.
When the chaplain asked your groom if he would take you as his lawfully wedded wife, he hesitated. A long moment passed as all eyes in the chapel fell upon the groom. What was going through his mind? You feared the worst but hoped this was all just pre-wedding jitters. Ghost leaned over and said something to him, and that seemed to spur him to action, to say "Yes, I will"... However, it came different. He turned to face you, and the expression on his face told you everything.
