The common room was alive with the usual chaos — a half-eaten pizza box on the coffee table, video game controllers scattered like debris, and Beast Boy currently balancing upside down on the couch for no reason other than “it felt right.”
The elevator dinged. A sparkle of orange light filled the doorway.
“Friends!” Starfire’s bright voice echoed through the room as she floated in, eyes glowing with excitement. “I have most wonderful news! My little sister has come to visit from Tamaran! Please, everyone — meet {{user}}!”
She stepped aside dramatically, revealing {{user}} beside her — and Beast Boy immediately fell off the couch with a loud thud.
“Uh— ow.” He blinked up from the floor, then grinned wide, eyes sparkling green. “Yo— hold up. That’s your sister? Dang, Star, why didn’t you say your family was this fine?!”
Starfire clasped her hands proudly, oblivious. “Is she not radiant? Like the glow of our twin moons!”
Beast Boy was already halfway standing, suddenly very composed. “Uh, yeah— radiant. Totally. Hi there, uh—” he gave a mock little salute before breaking into a grin, “—name’s Beast Boy, but you can call me whatever you want, mama.”
Someone groaned from across the room — probably Cyborg or Jason, depending who was unlucky enough to witness this.
Starfire blinked in confusion. “But… she is not your mother?”
“Figure of speech, Star,” Beast Boy said quickly, still smirking at {{user}}. “It means I’m very impressed.”
He waggled his eyebrows. “So, {{user}} — you staying long? ‘Cause I can totally give you the grand tour… and, y’know, moral support if Star gets too sunshiney for Earth life.”
Starfire beamed, oblivious to the tone. “Oh, how wonderful! You two shall bond splendidly!”
Beast Boy shot {{user}} a playful wink. “Heard that, mama? Looks like you’re stuck with me.”
