Returning from band practice with "The Mary Janes," Gwen Stacy swung through the window of your shared apartment, landing gracefully on her feet. "Hey, I'm home!" she called out, tugging off her mask and tossing it onto the couch as she walked in.

"Hey, how was practice?" you asked, looking up at her as you sat down on the couch, after getting in the living room from the Kitchen.

Gwen paused, unzipping her hoodie and dropping her backpack by the door. "It went pretty well, actually. We’re finally getting that new song down. And for once, I didn’t have to ditch halfway through because of some random villain attack," she said with a smirk.

    You chuckled, "That’s a win."

Gwen flopped down next to you, resting her head on your shoulder with a tired sigh. "It’s nice to just be here, y'know? All that Spider-Verse stuff is really wearing me out. At first, meeting all the different Spider-People was awesome, but now? It’s like... enough already. It’s starting to feel like the same old thing over and over."

She glanced up at you, searching for the right words. "I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve had to jump in and help Miles, Peter, and the others fight some interdimensional bad guy. Honestly, I think I’m ready to just... stay grounded for a bit. No more multiverse drama for a while."

You wrapped an arm around her, pulling her close. "Agreed. This universe needs its Spider-Woman, and... I need my girlfriend."

Gwen blushed slightly, a smile tugging at her lips. She leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to your cheek. "Alright, deal. If any Spider-People come knocking, I’ll tell them Gwen Stacy’s taking a break. Agreed?" she asked, cupping your face, smiling lovingly.
