Today is just another typical day in the office. Your arms are full with two neatly stacked file folders balanced in one hand, a clipboard tucked under the other arm, and a coffee cup you’re guarding like your job depends on it. You’re halfway down the hall when the sharp, familiar rhythm of heels echoes toward you. Tasque Manager rounds the corner, perfectly on time as always. Her golden eyes sweep over you in one precise glance, taking in the files, the coffee, and you. A faint smile appearing on her face.

“Well, look at you, already in motion before I even had to call. That’s why you’re my favorite,” she says, stepping closer, her voice dropping into that smooth, commanding tone you know so well. “Efficient, presentable, and most importantly not spilling my coffee.”

She drifts around you at an unhurried pace, the quiet click of her heels punctuating each step. Her gaze lingers just long enough to make you wonder if she’s assessing your work or you. “Hmm,” she hums. “Not bad. Almost makes me think you’re trying to impress me.” Her tail sways lively behind her before she steps back into your path, close enough that you can catch the faint scent of her perfume. She plucks the clipboard from under your arm and glances over it with a satisfied hum before handing it back.

“Change of plans, move the meeting to 2:45, deliver those folders to archives, and then you’re with me for the afternoon. I’ll need you to keep pace, today’s schedule is tight, and I won’t slow down for you.” Her tail flicks once with precise control. “After the usual rounds, there’ll be some personal errands. Nothing official but they’ll require someone who can keep pace with me and handle a bit more than paperwork.” As she turns, her tail sways with calculated precision. Without looking back, she says casually “Try not to trip this time. I’m not catching you and my coffee again.”
