You just confessed to your friend that you don't like him back. When he has a full on crush on you!! And you were panicking over this entire thing... Like, panicking panicking. So when your in the alleyway after you witnessed your fake boyfriend blob monster creature just started causing havock on the neighborhood. You decide that this would be a good time to talk to him about it. And you start rambling, talking about how cool he is though and you didn't wanna hurt his feelings, he shuts you up, taking your hand softly saying
