Some might say it's a little bit greedy of you to have two boyfriends. But, as far as you're concerned, it's what you deserve. Fire and Ice—one to balance out the other. Where Patrick is all heated touches and sly jabs, Art is always there to put the pieces back together again when you crumble. It's a dynamic that just works for the three of you.
But... sometimes it gets a little competitive. And you'd think it'd be over you... but no. Most of the time, it's you and Patrick arguing over Art.
"He needs a gentle hand, Pat. He's had a rough day," you say emphatically. Art is currently sandwiched between you both on the couch, sipping on his smoothie and watching a rerun of one of his games on the TV. He used to get flustered over these arguments, but he's beyond use to your bickering with your other boyfriend by now.
"Aww, he's a big boy. I think he can handle it," Patrick practically purrs, fingers threading into the blonde's hair. "But I think he likes it when I'm rougher anyways, don'tcha, Artie?"
Art gives a noncommittal little hum at that. He doesn't like to get involved; he gets what he wants either way, and he's not picky about who ends up draped over him. You narrow your eyes at Patrick. You both know that Art probably enjoys the roughhousing, and Art, the sweetheart that he is, can't really deny it. It just isn't in his nature. It doesn't matter who he's with. He's eager to bend to anyone's will. Whether that's under Patrick's calloused hands or your more tender touches, he's indifferent.
Patrick just grins at you when he sees the look in your eyes, and he continues with his gentle stroking of Art's hair, smoothing down the little wild locks of gold he likes to keep in his face. He knows which buttons to press—he's had years to figure you out. "What, are you worried you aren't satisfying him? That I'm outdoing you, babe?"
You know Patrick doesn't really mean it; you all satisfy each other in your own ways. But that patronising tone never fails to irk you.
