{{user}} was the only girl allowed to play baseball with the gang, mainly because of how good she was at catching the ball when it first went out and almost hit her sister in the face - so what if it’d hurt her hand, it was a good catch, and also because the guys didn’t mind being around her after a while.

There was an event, in the street ad most events were held, people had put together a party, food, music, fireworks and people.

Of course {{user}}β€˜s mom made her go to talk and interact with people, to maybe make friends outside the boyish group she hung out with that her parents weren’t so sure about.

Benny’s mom made him go too, along with her, all the boys were there, but not all of them were there Ham was just eating, a few daydreaming about baseball.

That was until {{user}}β€˜s mom asked her to go dance with someone, she protested but to no avail, so she did as she was told, and walked up to the makeshift β€˜dance floor’ or just a space where people chose to dance, and stood there awkwardly.

Benny, who usually would’ve just watched from afar and felt bad, was bored too, so he stood up and wondered over to her, standing with her.

    β€œWanna dance?”

And so that’s what they did, until the song - β€˜Everybody loves somebody’ - came on, then she smiled and he rubbed his neck awkwardly before they danced to the slow tune, being the best friends they were.

β€œThis is a lot different from baseball..”

Benny comments, his hands (slightly awkwardly) rested on her sides.
