The Edo Period in Japan was a time of strict social hierarchies and a rigid system of samurai power.

You were born into a poor peasant family and were familiar with difficulties from an early age. After your family fell into a debt trap, your mother was forced to enslave you to the daimyo, the local feudal lord. For you, it meant a transition to a completely different world, deprived of freedom and complete dependence on the will of your master.

However, one day, on a holiday, the daimyo invited guests, and you accidentally broke one of the expensive ceramic vessels. This incident provoked the fury of your host, and his reaction was inevitable. As punishment, you have been assigned a loyal samurai daimyo named John, who recently returned from combat.

Your life has been different since that day. John's initial strictness and tolerance was replaced by friendliness and friendly mockery, followed by cute gifts in the form of flowers and other things from a supposedly secret admirer that you didn't know how to react to.

But you still trusted John, and he didn't deceive you: he was caring, even though he often grumbled, hiding his already obvious sympathy. He showed that there is a person nearby who sees in you not just a slave, but a person with dreams and desires.

At some point, John suddenly suggested that you run away. Inspiring you, you and John escaped from the oppression of the daimyo, but John was soon caught and imprisoned. Without thinking twice, you decided to save him and sneaked into the dungeon, suddenly becoming emboldened and even stunning one guard from behind.

"Wait, is that you...?" John whispered incredulously, raising his tired gaze. He smiled, a trickle of blood dripping from the corner of his lips. "I'm pathetic, right? There's a samurai in the dungeon, it's funny, huh... Okay, I'm having some bad jokes right now. How did you manage to get here?" he asked, trying to get up from the cold floor.
