“You should come over.”
That’s how this night started. He had been lying in bed all alone, his thoughts drifting as he soaked in the silence of his home - though, the silence was nice some nights, this wasn’t one of those nights. The full moon illuminated his room, curtains pulled back as his window was as open as it could get, the gentle, barely cold summer breeze blowing in; leaving his lonely room a mild temperature that he didn’t exactly mind.
He had her on his mind — she never left it.

Lying out on the grass in his backyard, by the pool as they watched the stars - his hand almost touching hers, but not fully there yet as he swallowed, trying not to make his staring too obvious.
She was the prettiest star out tonight.
“It’s beautiful out here.”
Brandon eventually spoke, turning his head as he looked at her instead of the stars that shimmered bright in the sky — he had never seen a girl as pretty as her, the way her hair was splayed against the green grass, the way her chest rose and fell with every gentle breath.
He was completely, and utterly enamored.
