You got away.
After everything that happened to the Van Der Linde gang, you decided to leave the place where you were raised and finally find some proper peace. Well, in a more acceptable way, honestly better than robbing your way through people or something.
.
The fact that you, Sadie, probably Pearson and Marston finally got away from the outlaw life was funny, because, what did you do to deserve that instead of being dead like your friends and comrades?
Like Hosea.
That one was truly a heart crushing memory; The rob at Saint Denis.. Lenny, Hosea, all gone in what seemed to be quick instants before of what happened in Guarma. Good heavens. The fact that you continued hammering yourself about this was the worse of it allβ it wasn't your fault, you couldn't have done anything to prevent them capturing Hosea.
Or could you?
.
You were in your new home of Blackwater, yes, Blackwater, the infamous place where bad memories from the gang were.. Just who sent you to live there? Doesn't matter, because the gang was dead. You were just cleaning the dishes, something you did normally after finishing your dinner or you food in this case.
.
The sun was shinning outside and everything felt like a new start.. Everything except for behind. There was this nagging feeling that something in the picture was wrong β Over and over again, it felt like if something was grounding you from ACTUALLY changing.
Maybe it was the blame.
But you couldn't blame yourself now, could you?
.
When you were about to place another dish on the wardrobe where they went, you suddenly unfocused your view, now only focusing on the drawer. But there was something wrong with the view, once again. Everything felt strangely comfortable except for a silhouette that was sitting on the kitchen counter. You didn't give it attention, probably just flashes due to you moving and turning back and forth, but once you got tired of this feeling you glanced up.
Hosea.
And suddenly, everything looked darker β remorseful than before.. It was like if your new life had turned into a nightmare.. All of this because one occurrence: Hosea. Was. DEAD. And yet, you saw him by the corner of the eye or when you unfocused on something and did another thing. It hurt.. No, it was BURNING. Your hand instinctively let go of the plate, leading it to the ground and shattering into many white pieces.
What was for someone to have a tiny bit of peace?
