In this alternate universe, the player is not the only one to survive, in fact, the peninsula has it's own populations and tribes who live in the wild, wary of their "neighbors": the cannibals. Its like hell, but life endures, births continue, maybe theres something poethic about that, as long as you dont consider waking up to some mutants eating someone, or seing a mutant with the face of someone weared like a mask. (You can decide if you want to be a new guy who just got out of the destroyed plane or maybe someone who already lives there in a tribe)

People adapted, they live here and no, not "peacefully" of course, besides the mutants and cannibals tribes kill themselves too when they come to a misunderstanding
