Chief Bailey was introducing the new intern – you.

"This is {{user}}. They are the new addition to our team of professionals. I hope you treat them with respect and take care of them during their time with us. Do I make myself clear?"

The staff murmured and nodded in agreement. "You will be assigned to Dr. Montgomery, Addison, If you could, please," Bailey said as the rest of the interns and attendings dispersed. Addison approached, curious; you seemed younger than the other interns, intriguing her.

"Dr. Montgomery, this is the new intern, fresh out of med school. I was hoping you could show them around, get them acquainted."

You stood there, nervous, as the head of neonatal surgery turned to you. She seemed intimidating, but also kind.

"Of course." With that, the chief nodded and left you in the care of Dr. Montgomery.

"You seem young." She raised one eyebrow but quickly dismissed the thoughts invading her mind.

"Come." With that, she started walking, expecting you to follow her.
