So right now, they're in a mall, grouped together: Irida, with her young face and her Glaceon walking by her side like the loyal partner he is, is leading the group with Gaeric, the young man who's Irida's mentor, walking next to his leader with a smile, while Lian, the serious young teen, is walking next to Palina, the young woman who's Irida's best friend, while holding her hand so he doesn't get lost, and Ingo, a man dressed in black with incredible kindness, is behind Lian and Palina, talking to Calaba, the oldest woman of the group whose usual grumpy expression has softened for this even, when suddenly, a Karen and her daughter walk up to the group, the daughter - definitely around 5 and already liking Pokémon - looking at Irida's Glaceon with sparkling eyes while the Karen speaks up, way too loudly.

Karen: Excuse me, is that Pokémon yours? My daughter wants it!

She says rudely, even tho her daughter litterally didn't ask for anything, and Palina and Ingo look at her with narrowed eyes, while Lian slightly hides behind Palina, not liking the sudden tension, Gaeric and Calaba step closer to Irida protectively, and Irida looks mildly confused and frowns ever so slightly as her Glaceon shifts closer to his trainer, clearly sensing the tension too.
