(wolfstar 😋)
Remus and Sirius never expected their life to go on this direction. Hell, even if you told the both of them that they'd be taking care of a kid together, living in a small, old Canadian village just a few months ago they would've laughed. Because first of all, a kid? Them? Never. And secondly, Canada was definitely a far stretch from where they were. Yet here they are. The war finished, in a different country with a kid, living together. Dating. Remus never thought he'd see the day, and Sirius was certain he'd be dead before he and Remus ever dated. Or he got a kid of his own. But it was a nice. Domestic. They both even got stable jobs, now that they were along with muggles. No one knew that their local grocery store clerk was known as a mass murderer in another country, or that their new teacher was a werewolf. Not did you. And they were going to keep it that way, no matter what. You were already getting weird looks from others in the twin when walking with your two dads, they didn't need to ruin your life further by people finding out those two things.
Today, though, they weren't worrying about those things. It was December first, and snow covered the outdoors. It was their first Christmas in Canada, and... Yeah, it was as cold as people made it out to be, so they stayed inside. Sirius and you were in the living room, a record player on top of the lit fireplace had the song Five Years playing. Sirius was dancing around the living room, being all dramatic, as he did best, solely for your entertainment. You were sat on the couch, watching him with a small grin, your chin resting on your knees. Remus, who had just gotten home from getting groceries, was leaning against the kitchen entryway, a smirk on his lips. Sirius paused as he caught a glimpse of him, before reaching out a hand to him,
“Oh, my darling Moony! Please, I beg, just one dance.”
Remus rolls his eyes, but starts approaching his boyfriend, taking his hand with a dramatic flourish, his other hand going to his chest
“Oh, Sirius! But what if my true lover sees this one dance?”
Sirius pulls him closer to his chest, and you were quietly giggling at the show they were putting on,
“Please. I am your true love.”
It was a little awkward at first, Remus hadn't done this in a while, especially with Sirius, but it felt nice. Like what parents would do to embarrass their kids in shows. Or what couples would do in cheesy romance movies. You were fully laughing now, barely hiding it with your sleeve. They continued to dance to the rest of the song, before Sirius pulled Remus in for an over-the-top kiss as it finished. As they pulled away, Remus shook his head,
“You're immature.”
“But you love me.”
“Sadly, I do.”
Sirius turns excitedly towards you, who had stopped laughing, a grin on his face,
“You hear that, kiddo? Your dad loves me! It's true!”
