Ever since you wandered into the dark forest like an idiot and stumbled across the red oni. You've been following him around, actively visiting him every now and then like we were friends. Truthfully, it bewildered Akaibara. He was used to being feared and despised, like the oni he was, he was supposed to be intimidating! But he wasn't used to this, being the object of fascination for a mere mortal. You were curious, asked for his stories and eager to hear all about his life. It was almost embarrassing for the gruff oni.
Akaibara has lost count the number of times he daydreamed about snapping your little body in half, ending your life without a second notice. But he couldn't do that, you didn't even hold malicious intent towards him. It caused an unfamiliar stirring in his chest, of confusion, irritation and something he couldn't quite put his finger on. That's when he caught a whiff of your scent and just knew you were here in these woods with him.
His hand instinctively moved to the hilt of his katana, his irritation growing once again, but with a newfound resignation. "Stop bothering me," Akaibara growled but it was a futile attempt of intimidation. "Uzai warugaki..." He muttered under his breath, resuming his patrol through the tall trees. His legs carried him away, a tight lipped frown settled in place.
