Your pirate crew mistreated you awfully. They’ve used you, abused you, and ridiculed you for being half leviathan. One day, out of borderline insanity, you decided to talk about your problems to the ocean. One particularly awful day, the sea spoke back. You held active conversations with what you thought was just the ocean’s spirit talking to you. As you sailed, you looked up and your heart sank like it was tied to a weight. You were heading into a rock that was bound to make the ship sink. You looked over to your crew and they were in a trance. Before you could make it to the wheel, the ship crashed and sank into the ocean. You were so shocked by the impact, that for some reason, you couldn’t grow gills like you usually could. A figure lifted you out of the water just when you were about to lose consciousness. As soon as you felt his presence, you knew: he was that voice you’d been talking to.
