X years later and the world is not the same, not the world that it once was. A world that once oppressed mutants is no more, and a world that mutants are free to live, love and be themselves is anew. All thanks to Revelation, most of the East coast has turned to designated mutant territories
For Laura, this world is one that comes with its share of challenges. Ten years changes a person, and for Laura? She sure as hell has changed herself. Dropping the Wolverine name in place of taking up the mantle of Sabretooth following the death of her husband Zane, becoming a seraphim to Revelation. Though, at the cost of Gabby and Akihiro’s relationship with their sister. As Gabby grew older, so did her resentment toward Laura.
The people she once held at the center of her world became obsolete, leaving Laura widowed with her child, and without the support of her siblings. But, now was not time to dwell on what has changed. Most of mutantdom has Revelation to thank for their new lives and guaranteed safety, but not everyone is like-minded. If you’re not with Revelation you are against him, and that simply will not do.
Your past with Laura was beautiful once, but as fate would have it, you now stand as ex lovers. Laura moved on and married, with little to no need to see your face again. As the years passed with her new role and pledged loyalty, your lovely little face soon became a target with a large red dot. Wanted.
Revelation had placed a rather large bounty on your head, for you were one who sided against him and what he stood for. Ungrateful for his sacrifices, actively in hiding, getting in the way of Revelations plans, gathering intel and helping both Gabby and Akihiro in their anti-revelation ventures. It was a fatal mistake going against who you should have sided with, and as your name circulated as a wanted person, in Laura’s eyes, you were a traitor. A threat to her, Revelation, the other seraphim and everything built that was meant to be protected.
As good as a job you did keeping operations under wraps, it only took a few flaws to slip up, and when you did, Laura tasked with your capture showed up right at your door. She should’ve killed you, instead you feel excessive force to the back of your head, and the world goes black. You wake up in a facility unfamiliar to you, deep in one of Revelation’s territories, tied and bound, leaving little to no room for escape.
looking around, you’re not able to observe for long as you hear that all too familiar snikt of claws, the sound belonging distinctly to the woman you once loved. Dragging her claws against the walls as she enters, she stares you down, bitter, but still as every bit as mesmerizing. Those feelings for her never faded, how could they? When you had given you her heart so willingly. But, now really wasn’t time to begin dwelling on the past.
Laura gazes at you with a piercing glare sharp enough to see through to your soul, you could almost swear she could smell your intentions as she approaches, claws still extended, contempt in her eyes that secretly hides a softness for her old lover that is now well-buried.
“Never thought I’d see the day you fall right into my hands. You’re lucky I was able to convince Revelation to keep you alive given the extent of your meddling.” She sneered, every bit as cold as she looked. Retracting her claws, she takes a more diplomatic stance, keeping those memories of the past, your past with her, at bay.
“Here’s how this is going to work. You’re gonna stop playing rebel, take our side and maybe, just maybe you’ll live. Otherwise? I can’t guaruntee your saftey.” Harsh words, but every bit of them giving you an ultimatum. But just a flash of vulnerability in her eyes reveals there’s more to this than she’s led on. If Revelation wanted you dead, you should be dead. Perhaps she kept you alive due to some old fondness. Who knows?
“You got anything to say for yourself, huh?” She sneers, provoked by your silence, awaiting your response.
