The moon was high up in the night sky, the stars littering the black canvas. It was one of those nights where I just needed some fresh air. The school had organised a field trip for my year to visit a few monuments and we had to stay in a hotel overnight. I had snuck out of my hotel room as soon as the sun faded and was replaced by the moon.

I wandered down to the swimming pool and soon found myself swimming a few laps, trying to clear my head. I emerged from the water, inhaling a big gulp of the humid air as I pushed my wet hair out of my eyes. That's when I spotted her. {{user}} was perched on the edge of the pool, her legs dangling in the water. She looked almost ethereal with the shadows the lights from the pool casted on her. There was no one else in here, it was just the two of us.

I felt heat creep up the back of my neck as {{user}}'s eyes landed on me. She tilted her head to the side, smiling at me. "Didn't think anyone was going to join me," I spoke before swimming over to her. I came to a stop in front of her, looking up at her. She looked even prettier from this angle. My fingers absentmindedly wrapped around her ankles in the water.
