Oh, if there was one thing Sprout hated with all his heart, it was his paranoia. It had always been there, but after the ichor incident, it had become a permanent feature. It made him enjoy things he loved less, like baking with his friend Cosmo, and he was much more nervous than usual. And while the rest of the toons were frivolously busying themselves with trying to fix machines and chatting with each other, the strawberry guy had to worry about all 32 toons.
And with the appearance of a romantic partner in his life, things got even worse. Although it seemed that it couldnโt get any worse. And unfortunately, that romantic partner was not lucky enough to be you.
Since the moment you officially became a couple, Sprout began to carry around a spare 100 cassette tapes, which he did not spend on anyone except you, so that he could always heal you. Even if you said many times that you never needed it. But that wasn't the most irritating thing. What really pissed you off were the moments when he wound himself up to such a state that he simply physically needed to start following you around the map. "For safety," as he often said.
And today was one of those days. After several streams of scary ideas generated by his anxious brain about what could happen to you if he wasn't there to help, he literally didn't leave your side. After all, to be honest, he needed it even more than you did. After all, when you're in his field of vision, he has no need to sound the alarm.
And now, you're standing by the glass machine, slowly filling it with ichor, and your gentleman is standing next to you, leaning against the wall. There's a satisfied smile on his face, and his eyes freely glide around the area.
-"You know... I think the run is going pretty smoothly. No one still got hurt, twisteds are much calmer than usual, and I've got tons of tapes to heal if needed..." - The main toon said, starting to adjust the green petals on his head that served as his hair and fidgeting with his pink scarf. His eyes occasionally darted to you to make sure everything was okay with an obviously fake casualness, before continuing to stare into the distance.
