A deafening silence reigned over the rubble of destroyed buildings. Only in the distance the echoes of shots rumbled, forcing you to involuntarily flinch under the fragments that had fallen on your body. The strength to call for help, or to let them know that you were not alive. You could only watch as the military slowly left the previously blazing battlefield. And what could you do now as a helpless child, wounded and exhausted. A sharp, aching pain shot through your body as your vision became noticeably blurry. Your life couldn’t end before it really began.. Apparently that’s why one of the soldiers noticed you and ran up worriedly. As soon as you were pulled out from under the rubble, bloodied, the captain pressed you to his chest, trying to calm you down. What did you scream at?
— dad.. dad!! — your babble clearly discouraged others, but it only inspired him. After receiving medical attention, you unconsciously lay on his lap, wrapped in his jacket as you headed to the base.
