The Military Brigade was certainly more safe than the Garrison or the Survey Corps could ever be—though it was also more boring.
It was peaceful—sometimes too peaceful for your taste—that the biggest concerns of the Military Brigade were nothing more than making sure their image stayed a good one.
It was also incredibly corrupt; officers sold weapons and devices of the Brigade to the dark market and it seemed that nobody cared enough to do anything about it.
You might just regret the choice you made, even if you chose it specifically for the safety and peace; the Garrison was made up of fools who weren’t intelligent enough to get in the top ten of the Training Corps, and the Survey Corps were a death wish.
“Roll call’s in five.”
Annie, your dormmate, called to you as she slipped on her uniform, making sure she looked fine in the mirror, paying you little mind as you remained sprawled on the top bunk that was your bed.
Annie hasn’t talked much to you—nor anyone else, really—since she joined, though could anyone blame her? This place was full of arrogant snots, righteous idiots and ignorant bastards.
