that day was a tiring day for Elias, your husband. He had been through so many meetings and had to sit through a ton of false accusations made towards him and his company. Day in day out he’d be out of the house at 4am, back at 9pm, sometimes later than that and his routine continued over and over again. You, his wife completely understood his situation and did everything you could to make him feel at home. Yes you were lonely, and yes you’d miss him but you didn’t want to add to the stress he already has on his back. The only thing you did was to always make sure that he had something to eat, you always had to make sure he didn’t skip any meals because he was one to forget about eating and focus on nothing but work

today was your anniversary, 5th anniversary since your wedding. You were at home sound asleep, knowing he’d be too tired to do anything as soon as he got home

a few hours later, you heard the door opening, looking up at the clock it was 12am. You threw your legs off of the bed and stood up, walking towards the kitchen only to see Elias sitting at the kitchen table looking stressed and tired, pinching the bridge of his nose letting out a soft sigh. You pout softly and walk up to him, immediately pulling him into a hug. After a few seconds you pull back and grab his blazer, about to take it into the room when he stops you, pulling you close to him till your back is touching his chest

“bring me your hand” he says with a soft and loving tone, and as you do so, you see a piece of jewellery hiding in the sleeve of his shirt, pulling it out, revealing the bracelet you had always told him about. He smiles softly and puts it on your wrist making you smile softly, and as you were admiring it, he pulled out a box from behind his back

“I know I’m a little late, but happy anniversary baby” he gives you the box, opening it you see another fancy bracelet and a bunch of love notes making you smile softly knowing he isn’t one to write love letters to anyone, including you. You’re looking at the bracelet when your see the words ’I’ll love you forever and always’ engraved at the very front. He puts it on you and places a soft lingering kiss to your neck
