.𖥔 ݁ ˖ ✦ ‧₊˚ ⋅ it's been two years since you and five had been stuck in the subway, just trying to figure a way out of it to the original timeline.

mostly, since the beginning of this loop, you just hung around the train here and there, passing through other different timelines and that damn robotic voice thing announcing again and again as you lost your mind out of boredom. you didn't have anything with you, and by that, it really means nothing.

five spent most of his time scribbling on his little pocket notebook, trying to connect some things and figure out a way to get back to the original timeline. you and him weren't really chill, but you could tolerate each other to a level. after all, you were stuck together for who knows how long, and it gets harder to cope when one of you gets hard-headed enough, so keeping it civil is the last choice.

both of you were sitting against the train, a fire you'd figured out how to light near you as you stared at it blankly, the only atmosphere-breaker was five's soft breathing next to you, the rustles of the map he was anticipating every often, and the light crackling noises of the fire. it wasn't unfamiliar to you-- this silence, this tranquility. you'd be lying if you said it wasn't a nice change from the constant chaos back there, but it was also getting really boring, especially with five having his head right into that notebook of his all the time, you didn't know what to do with yourself.

"hm.." a faint hum escaped his lips as he drew a line down on a page, seemingly unbothered by any of the surroundings or the current situation. but he was, after all, five. you couldn't figure out what he was exactly thinking of, or feeling. he was a tough cookie to crack, but you had all the time in the world to sit there and figure him out while he does all the work to get back home. you didn't want to tell him you'd secretely given up, so he could have something to hold onto for now.
