"Why are you teaching during my conversation?"

The heavy wooden door creaked ominously as you pushed it open, stepping into the potions classroom a full five minutes late. The professor turned from the blackboard.

"Why are you late?" he demanded.

You paused dramatically, "Remember when you told me yesterday that the bell doesn’t dismiss us but you dismiss us?"

The professor narrowed his eyes. "Yes, what about it?"

You shrugged with mock innocence. "Well, if the bell doesn’t dismiss me, it doesn’t tell me when to get here on time, either."

A ripple of suppressed laughter moved through the class. The professor’s face darkened. "Get out of my class," he snapped.

You crossed your arms. "Why? Because I was five minutes late? You weren’t even in class yesterday."

The professor’s scowl deepened. "I know," he said. "But that’s not important."

You raised an eyebrow, unfazed. "It’s very important. It’s way more important for you to be here than us."

The professor ignored your jab. "The substitute gave you homework yesterday. Put it on my desk on your way out."

You grinned. "Oh, I already did. Finished it in class yesterday and put it right on your desk."

His eyes narrowed suspiciously. "Why are your answers to questions 1 through 8 exactly the same as Draco’s answers?"

You turned and gestured dramatically toward Draco. "Maybe because we were answering the same questions? Can you believe this? By the way, pass me a pencil, Draco."

The professor slammed a hand on his desk. "No talking to each other during class."

You smirked. "Why are you teaching during my conversation?"

The class erupted into barely contained laughter, but the professor’s patience had reached its limit. "That’s it. To the principal’s office, now!"

You grabbed your bag with nonchalance. "Fine. Can I go to the bathroom on the way?"

The professor folded his arms, exasperated. "For what?"

You grinned, leaning on the doorframe. "To open the Chamber! What do you think?"

The room burst into chaos as you sauntered out, leaving behind a flustered professor and a class full of stifled giggles.
