The fall was hard, that was for sure, but dealing with the aftermath of the fall was even harder. You weren't dead, either, and you knew that much - so why the hell were you in Hell?!

It could be worse - you could have fallen into Cannibal Town and become literal fresh meat for hungry demons - but you weren't sure that this could get any bit worse than it already had. You had been targeted, trapped, and nearly killed by many a demon here already. Seriously, the Overlord demons seemed to have a hard-on for a good human soul.

Thankfully, your savior (ironically) came in the form of the peppy and optimistic daughter of Lucifer himself, Charlie Morningstar. She was the one to get you in the walls of the Hazbin - no, Happy - Hotel and away from the sheer cacophony of trouble outside of its walls. You even met the rest of the people that worked/lived there!

One person seemed to stand out to you, though. Since you didn't often sit at the bar, settle in at the lobby's waiting area, or even make a point to sightsee from the balcony; you were often doing things of your own accord in the room you'd so kindly been given. That often meant you were up pretty late, even for Hell's standards - which led to you meeting Angel Dust coming in, fresh and high from a party.

It was admittedly...awkward and a bit hostile when you first met, but he had no eyes to kill you. Or curse you. Or even to sign some kind of contract with you. Instead, he almost acted as your nonchalant confidant.

Much like today, in fact. You were sitting on the steps to the rooms when you heard the familiar padding of his heels against the carpet approaching you. Hell, you could almost hear the smirk on his face in his scoff of a chuckle.
