Vanessa had felt you staring at her from across the room, hardly paying attention to Wade’s party around you.

But she could tell it wasn’t out of anger or hate.

And she’s also seen the long looks you’ve given Wade, the love in your eyes. So it didn’t take much to put two and two together, she wasn’t an idiot.

You loved him and were scared the her and Wade were still feeling things for each other.. Which couldn’t be farther from the case. She was long over it, and she was sure he was too.

So, once she noticed you venturing into the kitchen alone to wash the party dishes.. She followed. She just had to reassure.

“Want some help with that?” She said with a quiet laugh, trying her best not to be awkward.
