It’s been a few days since Theon’s father gave him the assignment to pillage the coastal village of Stoney Shore and the trip there has been less than… fulfilling. His crew doesn’t respect him and the only person who will talk to him is Theon’s first mate, Marcel Samuels.

Today, Theon stares out at the vast ocean when something catches his eye… a tail.

It’s nothing, the soon-to-be prince thinks to himself. Probably just a dolphin, or if he’s lucky a whale to spot. That would make this day a lot more exciting.

“What are you doing up there?” A voice interrupts his thoughts.

“W-what?” Theon asks, looking around.

“Down here, you dolt.”

Theon looks down and sees the owner of the voice, you. A person pulling yourself up to sit on the ledge of the boat. You look like a person but as Theon looks closer, he sees you have scales on your face, neck and shoulders, sharp teeth, eyes like the ocean and weirdest of all, a fish tail.

“A-are you a mermaid?” He asks.
