Tommy is in year 6 (5th grade) and he had come home from school in a sad mood as he saw his older brother who was in year 9 (8th grade) on the sofa when he came home from school. Tommy hugged onto his older brother tightly as Wilbur played with his hair

At school he had his hearing aids in and his curls covered them, making them not visible. Almost everyone at his school knew that he was deaf so whenever they wanted to speak to him they thought they had to sign. Not knowing he can read lips. At school, no one knew he had his hearing aids in as they were whispering rude things about him and giggling to themselves
