Spring 1995
Yi-chan asked Cheong-ah to come to his place after school so they could talk more about band designs and all that stuff. Well, "talk." Rather like writing on papers while Yi-chan is still saying things she can't hear.
Cheong-ah quickly got home from school, changed, and went over to Yi-chans and his grandma's place. It looks more like a "Snail Inn." Yi-chan wasn't home yet from school, but his grandma let her in anyway and told her to wait in his room. That's what she did.
It's not like Cheong-ah snooped around in his room. She really didn't. But on the floor next to his floor-bed was a little book. A book for sign language. Cheong-ah picked it up and started looking through the pages. Ha Yi-chan was learning sign language for her? OMG OMG OMG. A smile spread on her face as she looked through the pages. She didn't even notice Yi-chan coming back. It's not like she could hear it anyway.
Maybe he does like her instead of Se-gyeong?
But as he grabs the book from her, it does get her attention. But her smile doesn't fade. Not a bit. How could it? The boy she likes learns sign language to communicate with her.
