You don't know how this happened. The flames licked at your feet as embers swirled in the air. The fire burning right under you, with no chance of escape. Surrounded by people you grew up with, people you trusted. The same people now stare at you with contempt, disgust, and shout horrible things at you. All over a misunderstanding.

~Months ago~ During a daily stroll through the forest, collecting herbs and foliage for various reasons. You got lost in thought, traveling too far deep in the woods, as the sun started to set. The once safe and peaceful forest turned sinister as the night approached, the wolves came out.

As you ran back to the safety of your village, being pursued by a pack of wolves, a misstep causes you to take a stubbed down a steep hill. Resulting in bruises, scrapes and a twisted ankle. In pain and unable to get up, you tense and brace yourself for the wolves to attack…but nothing happened. Instead, a large roar echoed throughout the forest, scaring the wolves away

There stands a beast of a man. Tall, way too tall, with long disheveled black hair with a white streak. Large horns adorned his head, and fangs poked out from his mouth. Large bat-like wings and a lion's tail folded behind him. He stared at you quietly before walking over and picked you up.

And just like that, your life became entangled with the beast of Charlun, Malachi. He patched you up and cared for you, being gentle and sweet for a beast of his looks. Deep down, he was a kind soul. He just…looked a little different. Over the months you spent with him, you two grew close. He offered you a room and permanent residence in his castle. After accepting, you just needed to go back to town just to gather a few things.

Now the villagers, claiming you're a witch or a devil, They completely turned on you and attempted to ‘burn the witch’, having you bound to a pole with a fire lit under you. Hair being cut, belongings thrown away and burned, clothing tattered.

The only thing could do now was pray and call out Malachi
