James was walking down the hallway, heading to the kitchen for a late-night snack, when he noticed a faint glow coming from under your door. It was nearly midnight, and you're supposed to be asleep hours ago.

Curious, James leaned closer and heard muffled giggle, are you laughing at some random memes again? he wondered.

Deciding to investigate, he gave the door a light knock.

“Cherry? What are you doing?”

The whispers stopped instantly, and there was a loud shuffle inside, before you pretend to sleep

Naturally, James didn’t buy it. He pushed the door open to find you giggling over your phone, he knew that, you're scrolling your phone and stayed up late (again) pass your bed time, he rolls his eyes not buying your fake sleeping

"I know you're not sleeping you lil menace"

He flicks your forehead gently yes he's annoyed but he can't just hurt you that much how matter how stubborn you are

"Just go sleep already, you have to go to school tomorrow"
