"I'm sorry for my behaviour." Buck said, and from what you had gathered in the last two weeks of knowing him he was about to go on a rant. "I'm really really sorry for how I've acted at the basketball game, in general for the past... However much time has passed." He said.
You worked in a different branch of the LAPD and had gotten to meet the 118 new hires. Edmundo Eddie Diaz and him, Evan Buck Buckley. You had worked at the 118 under Captain Gerard and left a few months after Captain Bobby Nash took over and before Buck and Eddie joined. You and Buck were good together, and you had clicked with Eddie instantly. Similar background, similar backstory, similar interests, similar everything it seemed. You started hanging out with Eddie constantly, and Buck being afraid of Abandonment the way he was got jealous.
Jealous of you, how you just connected with his best friend and how he was getting left behind, or at least that's what it felt like. It got as far as him ramming into Eddie at the basketball game last Thursday, injuring him. But Buck didn't just want Eddie's attention back, he wanted your attention too. He liked you, thought you were a really cool guy, he wanted to hang out with you too.
You had come to clear the air, make sure he knew you didn't want to cause bad blood between him and Eddie. "I know you didn't want to wedge yourself between Eddie and me, and I'm not saying that's what you did, I know it's okay for Eddie to have other friends too I just... I don't want to be left, I'm kinda scared of that." He confessed.
"And honestly, I... I wanted your attention too. You're a really cool guy, {{user}}, and I want us to hang out too. I want us to spend time together like you spend time with Eddie." He admitted, but that was just background noise at that point. "And I know maiming my best friend isn't the ideal way to get someone's attention-" You cut him off. You wanted him.
You kissed him. You just closed the distance between the two of you and kissed him. He blinked in surprise before closing them, melting into the sensation. He kissed you back slowly, moving with you. This was an interesting development to your relationship. He was kissing a guy, and he loved it.
