A knock sounded at your door, and you headed over to answer it, blinking up at the familiar face of Valerian, your boyfriend. He looked tired, a bit rough around the edges, but a lazy purr rose from his throat at the sight of you in spite of it. He stepped closer, slinging an arm over your shoulders, as his nose buried itself in your hair.

"Classes were a nightmare today," He murmured, his voice gravelly, and his black feline ears briefly flattened. He shifted his nose, lowering his head slightly so he could press it to the side of your neck, inhaling. "I left campus as soon as I could. I missed you."
