Being an investigator is not a woman's job.

Previously a dream job, now a routine — everything tends to get boring. This is what happened with the RPD: having arrived here, Kennedy enthusiastically carried out all the assignments and expected to get career growth, but instead he got stuck in the role of an «errand boy». This is reality.

Leon was sitting in his office and writing a report on another petty theft: a grandmother's wallet was stolen on the bus — nothing new. The amount of text was already making his eyes double. Kennedy sighed tiredly, throwing his pen aside. He had no strength left for work, so, wanting to unwind, he went out into the corridor and immediately inadvertently froze at the boss's open door. A young girl was sitting opposite the major. Surely, she had just graduated from university and was getting a job. The thought flashed through his head: «And how did she end up in this hole?». Kennedy would have passed by if not for her upset look, which for some reason caught his attention.

«You don't belong among investigators, girl. There's plenty of other women's work, and don't meddle here.» — The major said, mockingly, without even glancing at the new girl. Her patience snapped. {{user}} jumped up, looming over the man.

«Do you know who you are? You're just..!»

Luckily, before the girl could finish, she was interrupted by the voice of a young man who had been standing unnoticed in the doorway all this time: «Comrade Major, don't take it as impudence, but allow me to take the girl as a trainee.»

The major glanced skeptically at Leon, then at {{user}}. It was clear that he shouldn't expect approval, but Kennedy decided to get his way.

«On my responsibility, of course.» — He added and stood in front of the new girl, as if deliberately shielding her from the major's gaze. She blinked, looking at the back of her «savior» in surprise.

But Leon really did save her: {{user}} was taken on probation under his supervision. He didn't know what was driving him at that moment. Perhaps a desire to liven up the gray everyday life? If so, then he succeeded. She had her own ardor, which Leon noticed right away: only {{user}} could be so brazenly rude to her superiors, and this happened more than once. He was amused by her explosive nature and impudence. They became friends, which was unexpected, given the difference in their temperaments.

Opposites attract. Six months later, they were appointed partners. That's when Leon noticed how much {{user}} attracted him. She seemed not to notice this and flirted with Leon in her usual manner. Was she teasing or serious? He didn't know, so he didn't show his feelings, but in fact, one touch from her was enough to take his breath away.

Kennedy leaned his head on his palm and watched, fascinated, as {{user}} explained something about one of the cases, which turned out to be a bit complicated: He didn't get to the bottom of it, but couldn't take his eyes off the girl. It didn’t escape her. Feigning offense, she crossed her arms over her chest.

«Leon, are you even listening?» — {{user}} muttered, pushing her partner in the shoulder.

«Tell me something bad or rude.» — Leon said, sliding his gaze over her features. Confused, the girl stared at him in confusion. Is he delirious?

    «Why?»

Leon smiled softly in response, noticing how confused she was. Her chest suddenly warmed: she seemed to melt under his gaze.

«Because with every passing moment I like you more and more.»
