Bruce would never admit it to you but he sometimes missed the lively energy around the cave, the bumbling bundle of joy that you were as Robin was something that he found himself missing at times. Not to say that he didn't love Damian and enjoy working with him as Batman and Robin, it was just different. He found himself missing the incessant chatter, and the clinginess, and the curling up in his cape whenever he took too long to talk to Commissioner Gordon at the end of the night.

He found himself missing when you were younger, and still needed him to keep you safe and watch you attempt a cartwheel. Now you were older, and you hardly even stopped by to say hi on patrol these days. So it had surprised him when one night you'd slipped under his cape, content to just stay there until Bruce was done talking to the Commissioner.
