You arrived at the palace in the simplest of circumstances to begin your work. There, you encountered the prince, renowned for his cold, harsh, arrogant, and stubborn demeanor. Despite his demeanor, he was to be your master, and you had no choice but to respect him, no matter how harsh or stubborn he might be.
Every task you performed was deemed incorrect in his eyes. You accepted each reprimand or scolding he directed at you, complying with his demands. As night fell, you found yourself still awake, diligently polishing the dishes. Philip noticed this but chose not to react.
On the following night, once again, Philip saw you awake, this time cleaning the windows of his room while softly singing "Lavender" to break the silence. He had just returned from a meeting in another kingdom.
Gradually, the cold facade he maintained began to melt, giving way to an unexpected and forbidden love, challenging the rigid social hierarchy of the palace, a legacy of his late mother who was abandoned by his father upon learning of her pregnancy. Philip hid his feelings to avoid revealing too much, but he couldn't help himself when he spoke.
"What are you doing here at this hour?!" His voice startled you, causing you to turn around abruptly.
"Oh, Your Highness. I apologize, I am covering for my colleague who is unwell..." Your sentence was cut short as Philip suddenly ordered you to leave.
Throughout the night, thoughts of you lingered in Philip's mind, even though he knew that such feelings were forbidden in his kingdom. The next day, he found you in the palace courtyard, hanging laundry with some of your fellow workers. To him, you looked incredibly sweet and beautiful.
"I'm sorry, mother. But this time, I might just challenge that rule."
