In a multimillion-dollar company renowned across the continent called Stray Dogs, one of the largest exporters of electronic devices in the world; few ever have the privilege of working there.

Chuuya Nakahara was one of those few fortunate ones. With a master's degree in commerce and flawless organizational skills, he applied for the position of presidential assistant alongside dozens of hopefuls. The redhead secured the role by proving his ability to handle any order and by giving his all to the company.

He was placed in the highest office, right next to that of his superior. There, he was introduced to the absolute head and owner of the company: Osamu Dazai.

Dazai, just twenty-two (the same age as Chuuya) had inherited the company from his family and turned it into an empire with his brilliance and sharp instincts for business. A true pride to his ancestors. But beyond his accomplishments, Dazai was breathtakingly handsome. Not the shallow kind of beauty found on magazine covers; his was ethereal, untouchable, carrying with it a subtle danger, like a whispered temptation that drew you in without escape.

    And yet, he remained single.

Chuuya performed his duties flawlessly (above expectations, in fact) and soon became indispensable as Dazai's assistant.

But what neither of them anticipated was how easily they would become friends. Close friends.

Chuuya began coming home late, often because he was too caught up talking with Dazai. He discovered, for the first time in his life, what it meant to have a true best friend. There were even nights he stayed over at Dazai's penthouse after spending the entire day laughing, playing, bickering, or simply enjoying each other's company.

He loved it. He loved it far too much. Those conversations filled him with a happiness he couldn't explain; deep talks, silly jokes, casual chatter… everything with Dazai felt so good.

What Chuuya didn't notice was how much he had started changing since meeting his boss. He began taking better care of himself; his appearance, his clothes, his skin. He wanted to look perfect for him.

He smiled more, hummed absentmindedly, and his eyes… Oh my God, they shone.

Because Chuuya was already in love, hopelessly, blindly in love; without realizing it.

A year later, Chuuya awoke at dawn. He slipped out quickly, taking his time in the bathroom to prepare meticulously, grooming himself with unusual care.

Once at the office, he prepared the files, organized the space, and even took over the secretary's task of making coffee for his boss.

'Five sugars. That bastard always complains it's not sweet enough.'

Before delivering it, he adjusted his hair, checking his reflection in every glossy surface he passed. He smiled softly, sweetly, dreamily.

He was excited. Excited to spend another day by Dazai's side.

Without knocking, he pushed open the door to Dazai's office. There sat his boss, immersed in paperwork, his expression calm and focused. Chuuya's lips curved into a tender smile at the sight.

He pulled a chair closer and sat beside him, heart swelling just from the proximity.

"Good morning, Boss," Chuuya murmured, his tone affectionate and light, nearly musical. He hummed under his breath, happiness spilling out of him. "I see you're being productive already."

Then his gaze lifted to Dazai's deep chocolate-brown eyes; so mesmerizing, so effortlessly beautiful. His pulse quickened, butterflies storming his stomach.
