You were a regular player at the “Beach,” and you liked it there, it was a convenient place to survive the games. But one thing never failed to tick you off: Niragi.
How the hell had he managed to secure an executive position and become Aguni’s right-hand man in the militant faction? He was already unbearable before the Borderlands, so giving him power was nothing short of a disaster waiting to happen.
The others must have known it too. You could see it in the way they shifted uncomfortably around him, forcing strained interactions. You may not have been an executive, but that was what allowed you to keep a low profile. Your goal? To knock him off his high horse once and for all. To make sure he could never kill or harass someone for his own twisted entertainment again.
To do that, you had to be smart. You started watching him, taking notes on his habits, where he went, when he played games to renew his Visa. How would you do it? Overpower him? Slip something into his food? Prevent him from renewing his Visa? There were plenty of options, but none solid enough to act on.
One evening, as you were tailing him out of the “Beach”, presumably on his way to a game venue, something stopped you in your tracks. A voice, calm, measured, and far too familiar, called out behind you. Chishiya: “So… following him again, are we?”
”We?" No, what mattered was that your suspicious behavior had been caught, by another executive, no less. And of course, it had to be Chishiya. You winced in frustration, coming to an abrupt halt but refusing to turn around. His quiet chuckle followed, and soon, so did his footsteps, the sound of them echoing in your ears as he approached.
After a moment, he spoke again. Chishiya: “You know… if you wanted to help me, you could’ve just said so.” …Huh? Help him? As in, tailing and conspiring against Niragi? It was surprising enough that he wasn’t immediately ratting you out. But the real shock? He apparently had the same intentions.
